Building a PC in 2025 $

What is the reason, why would I dump my hard-earned money into something like a PC? Honestly, I felt, and still do feel, a certain guilt for even attempting to do it and then succeeding. I built it simply because I wanted to, driven by a personal passion that I’ve had for years. I always wanted to build one for content creation and gaming purposes. Back in my high school days, I used to build PCs all the time, but since 2011, I hadn’t touched a Windows machine.

So, what’s in my beast of a machine? I’m running an Intel i9 Ultra 12900K unlocked processor, paired with a hefty 64GB of RAM, a massive 8.1TB of storage, and an Asus 5060ti OC graphics card. This computer edits videos incredibly fast and with ease! it’s incredibly convenient for my workflow. For a long time, I relied on Windows emulators on my Mac to play games like No Rest For the Wicked, Baldur’s Gate 3, and Genshin Impact. The process was clunky and far from ideal, but it was the only option I had. After playing games on this PC, I know I can never go back to those limitations. Just this past week, I played a Beta Play Test of an upcoming game called Ark Raiders, and it was an absolute blast! I can’t wait until its official launch. Building my PC has brought me not only a good deal of excitement but also a profound sense of accomplishment. The entire experience taught me so much in such a short time, making it all the more rewarding.

Cracking the Code to Achieving Your Goals This year I wrote down three New Years resolutions.1, I wanted to meet more creative people and 2, I wanted to produce more podcast and 3, I want to start a Podcast Network. I’m still trying to work out the third one. Sometimes, we set goals and then give up along the way. The main idea is this, just writing down a goal and going for it isn't enough. When you're aiming for something you've never done before, you need to gain new knowledge and skills. The question I ask myself is, "Am I ready to give up the person I am now to become the person I need to be to reach my goals?". To make this work, we gotta change how we see setting goals. It's not just a quick decision and a sprint to the finish line. Instead, think of it like preparing for a long walk to a faraway land. Along the way, you'll meet new people and learn new things. Plan In 2016, my wife and I purchased our home, all through planning meticulously. For six years, we went from one city to another, renting a new place for just one year at a time. Crazy I know but our goal was to find a place that met all of our individual needs. Ideas are Wild When I was a kid, I loved coming up with gadget ideas, even though I never really built anything special. I wrote all of my ideas in a notebook, hoping as I got older I would learn everything about how to make them work. One gadget idea that stands out was a camera for the Nintendo GameBoy, which could take photos and print them. I thought it was a genius idea but I quickly got upset when Nintendo released that same exact product in 1998! This happened to me too often. I’d have an idea and then boom someone or a company would bring it into existence. I've learned that ideas are like wild bulls; they want to be free. My notebook can only hold them for a little while. So now when I get an idea, I write it down and act on it if it feels right. It's okay to let some ideas go because not every thought needs action.
